IMEMC & Agencies Saturday
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said Friday that all Israeli
settlement built on Palestinian territories occupied during the 1967
war are illegal.
"We have accepted to establish our state within the June 4, 1967
borders beside the state of Israel" Abbas told reporters as he arrived
to Ramallah after attending the Arab Summit in Algeria.
"We should continue to peacefully resist Israel's settlement
activities, and someday it will come to an end."
Abbas considered the Arab summit in Algiers a success for both the
Palestinian people and the Arab League.
.
In response to a question on Israel's decision to delay the handover
of Qalqiliya City to the Palestinian Authority, Abbas said: "this is
procrastination; eventually they will withdraw from Qalqiliya,
Ramallah and the rest of the Palestinian cities."
Abbas confirmed that he will visit Washington next month, adding that
the issues of settlement, the Wall, Jerusalem and prisoners will top
the discussion agenda with U.S. officials.
