America seems to be focused upon either staying in Iraq "Staying the Coarse," where there seems to be no true coarse, or withdrawal. Neither of these options are acceptable and will result in further problems. There is a third option that has not been discussed and this is what I am bringing to light.
Capitalism is the freedom of a society to allow individuals to progress through incentives and is the primary focus that has resulted in America’s growth. Mankind has always progressed under different forms of incentives. America has failed in this primary principle in Iraq and has failed to produce any form of incentives for the Iraqi people. These people only see fighting as an option because no other options have been produced.
Some will say that "Democracy" is the incentive, yet our democracy based upon Christian/Judeo Law is neither incentive nor an institution for peace. If this was true, then do we expect to invade Sweden? If Sweden is a monarchy and not a democracy, then what makes Sweden right and peaceful? The truth is that where Justice prevails, peace will enter in, and America's justice in foreign policy is not always fair or right.
Insurgents are the people from a foreign land that disrupt the peace of a society. America has brought Christian/Judeo Law into the Muslim world making America’s occupation and presence in the land the promoter of insurgence.
Insurgent:
A person who rises in forcible opposition to lawful authority (Muslim Law), esp. a person who engages in armed resistance to a government or to the execution of its laws. (Judeo/Christian Law)
Incentive:
Something that incites or tends to incite to action or greater effort, as a reward offered for increased productivity.
America would best bring peace to Iraq by following a simple plan as follows.
Begin a systematic withdrawal beginning in the North while maintaining a presence in the Kurdish land to protect the Kurds.
Relinquish one city at a time beginning immediately allowing the currently trained Iraqi forces to establish peace in these areas. If violence is not stopped in these areas, America will re-enter and control these areas until such a time that the Iraqi people demonstrate an ability to control it on their own. Their incentive is to stop all forms of retaliation against the current Iraqi Government, Kurdish, American and all other Peacekeeping forces in place, thus minimizing casualties on all fronts.
Incentive for the Iraqi people? The sooner they control these areas, the sooner America leaves. America's speed of withdrawal would be placed upon the Iraqi people. Both Sunni and Shiite Muslims would band together to ensure America's speedy withdrawal.
Incentive for America? Bringing our troops home and bring unity back to our nation.
Results? A win/win situation for all people and the reestablishment of unity and peace among people and nations..
If America’s leadership refuses this, taxes among the rich needs to rise to the Vietnam era at 70%. By following this plan, the Iraqi people will band together in the communities where Iraqi control takes place because if there is any retaliation against America, Peace Keeping Forces or their current Government, America will reoccupy their land. As a result, we will initiate incentives, bring cohesion to diverse sections of the Iraqi people and stabilize democracy in their land.
