THE WORD

God gifted man with the "Word."  The "Word" is part of the virtue that God, through his Spirit, that he gives to all of us.  The Word is the one true gift that separates mankind from all other creation here on earth.  Although the animal kingdom and all of Gods creations have ways of communicating, it is primarily for survival purposes.  This Word is also called language in which there are over 6,800 main languages with over 41,000 alternate names and dialects.  Out of these fewer than 1,000 have writings systems.  The rest are only spoken languages. It allows us to record, document and assemble an ever-increasing knowledge in an attempt to, through the generations, become more consciously aware of Gods presence, purpose and meaning for each and everyone one of us.

John 6:63

It is the spirit that gives life, the flesh has nothing to offer.  The words I have spoken to you are spirit and they offer life.

Being gifted with the word has also made us unique from the animal kingdom in another way, for all creation on earth knows their purpose and carries it out by instinct, man takes a lifetime trying to figure out his or her purpose in life.  The Spirit of God is also the Word, it is God who generates the Word and the Spirit is that which carries it out.  Just as our words generate from within and pass through our lips, so does it generate from God and out through his Spirit.  Words contain extreme power, and an equally destructive force when used for anything outside of Gods love and unity.

Matthew 15

18But those things which proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and they defile a man.

It is in these words that bring true life to the Spirit.  When we read a book, we hear the words in our mind and thoughts.  When we get distracted we are busy thinking in a verbal dialect internally in our mind.  Within these words we begin to imagine and create and they never stop, not even when we rest.  We need to maintain these thoughts in the direction God intends, not following the thoughts of our own desires.  When one hears God, it is not in the human ears that we hear Him, it is in these thoughts of words in our mind.  I have been asked if I have heard God, my response is that all people hear God, few choose to listen these days.

We must look at, and question these thoughts and words going through our mind and attempt to gain control over them.  No man can attain this perfection, but when one comes closest to this perfection is when one can find contentment and harmony from God through the Spirit that resides within all of us.
