CHILDREN

Matthew 19
14Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."

Jesus said it is easiest to get to heaven by being like a child.  When we look upon a child, it is truly the representation of what God wants of us.  Not the childish behavior, but the way a child looks upon the world.  They have not been here long enough to be self-righteous, they are not arrogant, they hold no resentments, and animosity they know nothing about.  They do not care about another’s race, or religious beliefs, all they do is love.  This, being the most important command of God, is truly the way God meant for us to be.  A small child is truly the highest form of integrity from God.

A Child looks at the world with wonder and sees the beauty God created in everything, even the simplest of things.  If one ever seems lost or deeply troubled, you can take a child for a walk and see those wondrous things through the eyes of a child.  We can begin to see how simple life is meant to be, and how difficult we make it for ourselves.

A child is a true gift from God, and is not to be used as a possession or a tool for bartering between the parents.  Nor should they ever be neglected.  God gifted both the man and the woman with this child, and the child truly belongs to God and not people.  Every child needs to know how to love and receive love from both parents in order for it to go out into the world and to love as we are commanded to.  It does not matter how much you give a child, or even where you take the child.  To a child, time is love.  When the parents spend time with a child they feel worthy of love, thus, they go out and love the world.  This is the most important command from God and it is the most important gift a parent can give to a child.
